Posted - Mar 25 2010 : 10:23:29 AM Just so I can get to know you all! What kinds of businesses do you all have? Do you make things? Do you sell things? Do you grow things for Farmer's markets? Let me hear from you what your entrepeneurial hearts have been up to!
I am still searching-I knit baby items, I sell eggs, I make quilts, I make jewlery, I sew, I crochet, etc etc etc but I haven't settled on just one thing!

Posted - Mar 02 2013 : 4:09:32 PM I created Fearless Farmgirl Products(c) and right now my main item are my homemade dog treats. I wanted to bake but not gain weight so I started baking for my dog and eventually turned it in to a business.
Eventually I want to sell so much more! Yarn dyed with flowers, hand knit items, etc. I have an Etsy shop and a business set up on my blog. My husband is a woodworker and he sells gorgeous stuff too, most of which the trees he felled himself and had milled.
Love having a creative outlet and if I can make ends meet with it all the better!! Thanks everyone else for sharing, I love giving my business to fellow farmgirls!!
If your dream doesn't scare you to death......it's not big enough.

Posted - Feb 12 2013 : 1:12:51 PM I'm the editor of a blog for mums called Mumtopia: http://mumtopia.blogspot.co.uk/
The job of being a parent can be the biggest challenge we face. A job with no training manual, induction or sabbatical. A job for life.
Mumtopia is a down-to-earth blog to help my fellow mums. Instead of being full of my daily gripes and moans, Mumtopia is full of things that are positive, things that work, things that'll make life better. A tall order.
But if you need uplifting, you are not alone. Mumtopia is for you.
I'm always on the look out for things that make life easier, better, or cheaper for mums, so if you have a product or service that my readership needs to know about please do contact me about being featured/ reviewed.
All the best to everyone with their enterprises!

Posted - Jun 01 2012 : 2:02:24 PM What a great thread! I now have so many stores to check out! My husband works full time and we live in town so we don't have a lot of space to start my farm dreams...but I recently purchased a breeding pair of French Angoras and will be using them for wool to sell and baby bunnies to sell to fanciers and the local 4-H kids. Www.coldhandsfarm.blogspot.com is where I'll be posting rabbit information for those interested in purchasing rabbits and I will be starting an Etsy shop under the farm name -Cold Hands Farm- to sell the raw wool. My rabbits won't be old enough to come home with me until July, so right now I'm getting everything ready for the start of my first business!

Posted - Apr 29 2012 : 6:47:42 PM I am thinking about raising alpaca once we get our farm. I would love to be able to sell the wool and start making different things with the wool to also sell. Anyone have any experience with this sort of venture??

Posted - Jan 15 2012 : 09:27:32 AM Heh, I've tried enough things to know that all of them work some of the time (for me at least). It took almost thirty years to figure out that the insomnia is a side effect of something else. Oh well, more hours in the day, right?
