That's a great idea, Cherry! I wish I had some nice big trees that could handle that type of weight plus me :D

These are cute ideas. I was going to say everyone needs a toilet flower garden.

I had an old wheelbarrow that I planted lots of flowers in at my old house.

How would you use an old bed frame as a swing?

I had my Mom hand-letter (I like her handwriting better than mine) three wooden signs with a few of my favorite sayings - a scripture verse, a short poem and another quote. I hung them on the fence surrounding my raised-bed gardens and they look adorable.

Also, because I love the rustic look, for most of my tomato stakes and my pea trellis, I used large tree branches tied with jute twine. Cute and functional!

So I threw my hands in the air. I was done with Wal-Mart and Wonderbread. I wanted something real.

Sarah- I like the Hand Lettered Signs. That is a good idea too! My mom has better writing than me also.

I have some old prisms from a chandelier that some cleaning clients took down- Wouldn't it be fun to hang some from branches of my apple tree that I have my hammock under? I wonder if they would even catch any light..

Did y'all have a look at Melody's post about her "blooming teacups"?? TOO CUTE as well. Go have a look and see

Claudia, he took chain and secured (maybe welded?) it to the mattress frame part and hung it from the reinforced porch ceiling. They used the same boxsprings and mattress, only covering them with outdoor fabric. There's a pic of it I'm trying to find, but not sure if I can. The house has since sold, I think. I believe it was a double bed.

Hello Claudia, FUN idea of yours to share Creative Gardening Tips!
Cheryl, i LOVE your painted shovel!
Cherry, Your Aunt Jenny Flower Pots are adorable!
Sarah, The Hen and Chicks in an old boot is something I have always wanted to do too. If you make one, post a photo for us, okay?
Alee, I can't wait to see the old metal washtub you will plant in. Please post a photo soon. (Wow, you are FarmGirl #8)
Karen, Flowers splashing over the edge of a bird-bath! How cute is that!!
Sharlet~ OMG, what a super idea to put a mailbox in the garden for our tools. Very FUN idea!
Diane, Gee i wish you had taken a picture of all those shoes too! I love when gardeners make whimsical things like you did with all those shoes lined up, filed with Hens and Chicks. You are a true gardener to share them with friends.
Marian, I don't want a toilet in my garden either LOL. I visited your blog and it's great! I like the idea of putting the old bed frame in the garden.
I have an old iron bed in my greenhouse. I will take a photo of it to share.
Kris, The WheelBarrel planter is totally great. My girlfriend had two in her garden. On one she painted, "retired 2002" on the other she painted, "Just Tired."
Sarah, i am rushing out to find the book you mentioned, "Made from Scratch" ~~ and i simply MUST see a pix of your tomato stakes and pea trellis you made from large tree branches tied with jute
twine. PLEASE.
Alee~~ You just gotta hang those old prisms in your garden. DO!
April, you'll be making your garden all "secret gardenish!" soon!

Thanks everyone for all the Inspiration!
Please post photos when you are able to.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Wow what a bunch of great ideas, even though I dont think I would want a toilet in my yard, I redneck enough now! Alee I really think you need to hang the prisms they are bound to get light at some point during the day. Love all the pics they really help to see what your styles look like, thanks for sharing. Becky Sue, those lillies are huge and so gorgeous! I just love lillies. I am going to have to do some of these great garden ideas this fall. I somehow have lost interest in flower gardens with all the veggie gardening I'm doing now. And I don't like to water, too. But I think if I just start small I would get back into it again. I had big flower garden borders all around my yard at our old house. I miss it alot. I drive by just to see it as much as I can. It's all grown so much and is really pretty. Although they don't take care of it like I did.

Thanks for the inspiration and motivation, ya'll!

Kris
