I am very anxiously awaiting customer approval on my resume - I have been waiting for project definition and approval, and finally the purchase order has been signed, the last thing is to have customer approval on "me" - if they say "yes" I need to be working in Warren on Nov. 1.

DH and I have been looking for houses more than 1/2 acre in the entire metro Detroit area - you would be surprised how few there are. How can I have a garden in less than 1/2 acre? and DH wants a 2nd garage so he can do his mechanic hobby thing -- so our selection has been limited.

Anyone on here from Armada or Romeo? That seems to be where most of the properties in our search are coming up.

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands - You shall be happy and it shall be well with you. -Psalm 128.2

Too cool. We work through Kiva. What a great project though. I think it sounds like a fun. You can't go wrong with pancakes for breakfast and hotdogs for lunch! ;-)

The site looks great Melissa! Love the quilts :D Would you be cool with local pick-up of items? I don't have any fun $ right now, but when I do I'd love to knock a couple folks into the Done gift list. Cool store!

Hello Michiganders! We should all start something fun! Like a roundrobin of letters, handmade gifts or something. Lets get this group active. Though I'm not in MI right now i like to pretend I am. I still have my MI license and plates. I refuse to change, LOL! Not to mention you have to pay tax on your car every year in NC, booo! I paid taxes when i bought it!

Hey Melissa...stopped by the website. Nice store. I love your "research associate" description. Too cool! :) I wanted to leave a little comment on the website for you (checked out your blog too....miss that side of the state...wonderful photos of the fam. You have beautiful horses!) but for some reason I couldn't... Could be just my brain is sloggy at 4am.

How did you decide what products to put in your store?

Oh yea Jessie, I am working on making my buttons on my jeans coat like you did with your fingernail polish. How many coats did you have to put on. It seems like I am having to put on a lot of them. Let me know so I know I am doing this right. I can't wait till I get it done though cause I really like yours...!!!

Hey gals! Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Michigan Farmgirl Sisters!!!
Thank you for all the great comments on the store! It's been going a bit slow on there...economy perhaps? I'm going to knock it down to the "free" subscription which means it will still be there just not as many items in it:( I have also started an "on-line" attic sale (my parents moved and I have all kinds of treasures to sell and barter just to clean out my house!) I'm going to be starting my "barter blog" after Thanksgiving and start the ol sewing machine up and designing some of my own things for spring! Hope you're all doing great!!!

Sarah, send me an email if you'd like a local pick-up on anything in any of the stores or soon to be coming barter blog or I can also drop off or meet you (ya know my fav store is TSC!)

Michelle, I love the idea of a gift exchange of some sort for the holidays! I'm in!!

Here's the "attic" sale website if any of you are interested...I just keep adding and will continue to until everything is gone:)

Happy Turkey Day all! We managed to get a fresh bird (yum) and then the stove up and quit...parts my hubby had overnighted, didn't overnight in time. We're grillin steak today and turkey cutlets. Turkey roasting later this weekend. Will taste just as yummy and provide just as many tasty leftovers. Well, pies had to be store bought but no one is complaining. (especially me)...
