If you’re a Sisterhood member looking to join the Henhouses here's what you do. • Read through and decide which groups you'd like to join, then make a list (you can join more than one). • Then, email henhouses@maryjanesfarm.org with all that information, plus your Sisterhood # and chatroom username (you must be a Farmgirl Connection member first). We'll contact the Chapter Leader to make sure there is room available. If so, we'll activate you to post in the Henhouse and send you a confirmation email. If you would rather email the Henhouse Hen Honcho yourself (Hen Honchos are in charge of the Bulletin Board) email henhouses@maryjanesfarm.org to activate the email function. • Once that's done, type up a brief introduction of yourself in the groups you just joined, so those Henhouse leaders will know you've joined.
That's it! You're in.

Toni, Happy too. When a farmgirl purchases a farmgirl sisterhood membership she is assigned a sisterhood number. You can purchase your sisterhood membership at http://shopping.maryjanesfarm.org/s.nl/sc.2/category.16/.f#Farmgirl Sisterhood With the farmgir sisterhood you can earn badges, assist farmerettes in earning badges under you, get monthly specials from the farm, receive the Farmgirl sisterhood newsletter and more.
Once you purchase your membership, the farm will snail mail you a packet with your farmgirl sisterhood certificate, number and badge and then a hexegon will appear under your name.
Hope this helps Toni, thanks for asking

I emailed the farm - haven't heard from them yet. But how do we know what henhouse we want to be part of if we don't know much about them? (I need to check my spam folder....) oops!
I went on line yesterday and signed up for the sisterhood so will I get my number in the mail with what to do next? I did see a chapter in my area but, when I send the email it just comes back to me each time. Thank you for your help.

Hi Farmgirls! I am new and am honestly a bit confused by henhouses/ chapters. I am in Minnesota. Any farmgirls in the area? Also, how do I pick a henhouse? I looked through them all and cannot decide. Tips please.
Thank you so much! - Tammy.

Hi Tamaya!
Welcome to the forum! What I recommend doing is going to the bulletin board area of the henhouses and seeing who the "Mother Hen" of that Henhouse is. Then you can email her by clicking on her name and asking what that particular henhouse focuses on. Maybe that will help you decide. Also you can join as many as you like!

Are many of the hen houses active? When you look at the info online, seems there isn't much activity.

Tamara- it seems like we always have a lull in activity during the summer and then it picks up in the winter time. Is there a henhouse you are looking into joining?
