Your project looks super cool! That is something i have not ventured into yet; perhaps when the kiddos get a little older - can only handle one craft at a time right now :-)

It's really raining here in So. Cal. You know where it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl, don't they warn ya?
It pours, man, it pours

......so stayed inside and made a holder for my tattling I mean my tatting needles. Got a little fancy with pico(t)s. Used my new rotary cutter on red felt then stiches the tatting to the felt. Noticed in the pinch out close up my stitching bites. May need to redo it, may not. I then used an M&Ms candy holder to role up and tuck in. Side note, tattling is just tatting with a friend.

Nancy, what a great idea! I may have to do something similar with my sewing needles.

I was finally a little productive this weekend and made me a pair of slippers! I love how they turned out in the colors that I chose. Now I'm looking for a way to add a soul to the bottom. Any suggestions?

I am not a knitter and there may be an official way of doing this, but as a sewer, I would try leather. Draw the shape out on the leather, cut the shape a little smaller and sew it onto the bottom by hand or by machine.

Roxanna, when my boyfriend's uncle died last year they took all his favorite t-shirts and made a quilt out of them. If she had shirts from vacations over the years or events she went to, they would be great for this.

Everything looks wonderful that people are making. I brought several UFOs to knit on while on vacation, but so far too much to do and no knitting time.

Sara, I like the idea of patchwork Teddy bears! I bet they are adorable. I like how sentimental that can be.

Ok I had to fix it. I took out the red thread and reattached the tatting with matching thread. Now the back looked awful so I cut another piece of red felt and whip stiches it to the back.

It is a little more bulky but still fits in the candy container.

Diana, your quilts are beautiful!

Tumbleweed, your needle holder is intriguing. Are those tatting needles or regular length? How tall is the candy holder.

I also started this headband about a week ago. I used size three thread in a cream color and used a large needle to tatt with. I wove the lavender ribbon between the open spaces. The ribbon is long enogh to tie in back. I can change the ribbon color as it isn't stiched in.

Thanks Judith.... Yes they are tatting needles. The candy holder is one of those long m&m tubes. I didn't need the candy just the holder. But since the candy came with.... Well I just had to eat it. Had to force myself...a little.

Hi Dawn... This is the first one I ever made. I just learned tatting in the past few weeks. I will have to think about it. You are sweet for asking.

Love it, Nancy! It's a great idea to leave the ribbon unattached so you can swap ribbons to match your outfit. Your tatting is looking fabulous!

Here are the rest of the placemats (Debbie, thank you for your comments on the first one :-) ). I was so excited to finally see them on the table! It took much longer than i had anticipated - each mat is different and required totally different fabric sections and quilting design. Between homeschooling and other home/child responsibilities, i don't have much time to quilt. I try to get an hour in each day, but that is not always possible.

I still have matching fabric for 2 small quilted wall hangings. Part of me wants to work with some different fabric for a while and the other part of me wants to finish this pattern and be done!

Wow Dena, those turned out really nice. You really did a great job! I've been busy making a bandana for my grandpuppy, Pawsenburg, and aprons.

Thanks Judy :-)

Your collar bandana and apron are super cute! i would love to learn how to sew aprons. That might sound simple for some, but i am teaching myself - at the age of 51 - and things don't come as easily without someone actually showing me how to do it. :-)

Happy sewing!
