Nini...praying for your darlen! Sometimes it is just the stirring of The Holy Spirit. And you don't even have to be able to figure it out...just pray and we will come along side of you and pray too. We will just wrap you up and enfold you in our prayer shawls.
Mari-lyn...I think Safe House sounds like an excellant program. Good for you and your family for joining.
blessings, peggy

I'm so glad your day is going well, Suzanne! I love happy mornings - even the rainy ones! May the Lord bless you with an entire day of cheer! :)
I'm a weird rainy-day lover - perfect for candlelight, a hot cup of tea, THE Good Book and orchestra music playing on the radio. We've got some clouds hovering overhead, but it feels like spring outside. So strange for this time of year... We should be freezing, slipping on icy sidewalks and dealing with ankle high snow about now. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, anyway! :)
Thank you for your prayers, girls. I am thankful today, too - I finally got a good night's sleep. :) I've still got that awful feeling, but the feeling of knowing you're all praying makes me feel a whole lot better. :)
Have a blessed day!
Hugs -

I just love being part of and praying for the women on this site. It helps me feel in touch with like minded women. Safe Families is a christian organization that is part of Lydia House. Safe Families helps out families in need. It provides a safe home for children to live at while their parents deal with different issues that may come up. Right now we have two boys that were living in their car with their parents. DCFS sent them to Safe Families to get the kids out of the car while the parents get jobs and a place to live. Safe Families works to keep the kids out of the system. A child may stay for one night or 3 months. We had a little girl for a week while her mom worked out getting protection against an abusive husband. Some moms use the program if they need to go into the hospital, rehab, jail Etc... The goal is to keep the family together and heal them as a unit. It is a blessing to the family as much as it is to us.
Insane and Blissfully Happy Mari-lyn

Hello Gals I wanted to share something with you. My oldest son, Andrew (who is 16 and my dear love) is bi-polar along with several other diag. It can be very trying some times. But, I grew up in a home with 3 un-treated bi-pols so I think God gave Andrew the right mom to help him through his journey. Anyway...God has given my child the gift of Art and a mind for research and discovery. He tested into the talented art program in 3rd grade. He is 10th grade now. He struggles with day to day life. Being around people. Going to class. Keeping up with the pace of things. He suffers with anxiety attacks and OCD habits that he HAS to do between each activity. Transition is not is friend. But he has a family who loves him and my husband and I are in it for the long haul.
The picture below is a rubber stamp relief that he carved out by hand in Art class at school. While everyone else was carving cartoons and balloons my child was carving out Christ. People here have been so impressed that he has actually been ask to make cards (and has) so now he has money for the spending. We are sp proud of our Andrew.

I just found out that one of our Farmgirls Susan Davies just lost her mother on Nov 13 and her husband Dec 14th. Please put her on your prayer list. She is a Christian and I know would covet the prayers.

Susan is in my prayers, too, Peggy. SO hard. SO sad. Please let us know how she's doing, okay, and if there's anything we can do to help! God bless and love her!!

Good morning ladies! Mari-lyn, the safe house program sounds wonderful!! We have a family friend who is a social worker that deals with domestic issues daily. It is horribly sad. What a beautiful program you are involved in. Suzanne- love the cross that Andrew did . What a precious heart for the Lord! Nini- hope your heart and mind lose that uneasy feeling soon. Know your sisters are praying! Peggy-thank you for sharing about Susan. That is so sad and she will be in our prayers. Is there a card shower? Let us know what you hear. It is great we can all share and uplift one another each day!
I am busy trying to get some Christmas projects done. I really lost track of time lately. Oops! Lol!
Ladies, my 'goals' and prayers for next year are to hopefully get more focussed and centered with my faith and my walk. To trust more and question less. Does anyone else struggle in this area??? He constantly shows us that He is right there beside us, and of course He knows best. Yet with each new trial or crisis, I get scared and frustrated All over again. Guess I just long for that peace that comes with Truly trusting Him and His will for me and those around me??!!
Gosh, didn't mean to ramble so..... Hope each of you have a blessed day!

We have a Lydia House here and it always gets a Thanksgiving and Christmas basket with all the trimmings. Please pray for my DD something, flu or ??, has her way down and with diabetes it is all the harder for her to recover. We have started a non-profit here to provide housing for those without. It is rough living in a car in Alaska. My DD is a social worker and grant writer and I suppose that is reason enough for challenges to pop up. Beautiful work by Andrew and praying for Susan. I am off on my own little project today, helping someone get their wood stove working so that they will have heat when the propane runs out.

Good Morning Gals I am coming to you to pile on another prayer request. My son Andrew has been going through some testing at school--we are trying to get his 504 plan expanded to cover his education needs. Anyway..the testing has to be done to see where he is on all levels. This is done in conjunction with his Dr. in New Orleans. I found out today that what they were suspecting...they are now saying they are sure of. Andrew has a mild form of Autism. and that accounts for his OCD and sensory over loads among other things. We love him so much. He has a long journey in front of him and we have three other children who love and adore their big bother.
As i continue to pray for each of you, I ask that you you pray that Chris and I will be thew parents we need to be not only for Andrew but for our other three children. The dynamics in our family can be strained at times because the younger kids don't always understand why Andrew is acting out the way he does one minute and then perfectly fine minutes later.
Today is a good day. the younger children are off to visit the grandparents which Andrew rarely like to do, so he is home with me. It is cold a grey out side, Chris is working at the property. I am getting orders outs and Andrew is working on his own personal projects in the quiet. He likes that best.
Thank you for the prayers

Cherime...I love that you started the non-profit to help the homeless there in Alaska. I remember last year we all felt so badly for those young kids who were homeless out in that terribly cold weather.
Suzanne...I will be praying for you and Chris and how to best deal with the children, espesially Andrew. I have a friend who has an autistic child. They are usually very billiant in one area or another. Your Andrew looks like Art is his creative bent. I loved the picture he did of Jesus on The Cross. Save all that art work of his, you will be glad that you did.
ok ladies...have you on my prayer list. Have a blessed weekend!
Christmas Joy, peggy

Ladies, it's been awhile since I've been here, just need to share my excitement. On Christmas Eve when our family gets together we will be watching a video of our soon to be GS in 3D. Just can't wait to see that sweet little face. This baby is already so loved. Wishing you all a very peaceful and lovely Christmas holiday!
