A thought for today, that we may open our minds and our hearts to others:
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
-Matthew 25:35

I've had a few days where I have listened to news stations and political pundants saying such negative things about others. Some are just half truths and maybe not even true at all. Nonetheless, there is such an air of negativity, it can affect ones attitude toward others and your life. I am trying to think of other ways to introduce & say a positive words to others each day that is truly heart-felt. Maybe a phone call, a little card, noticing they are doing something well or above the dall of duty. We all need that "at a boy" and we may not hear it. Other ideas how we can incorporate positivity into our lives and those of another?
"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." - Philippians 4:8

Claudia...I couldn't agree more dear sister! I have always been the "glass is half full" sorta of person
rather than the "glass is half empty". I like your idea about making sure that you speak kindness and truth to a person in a positive way. There is nothing that comes off more phoney than flattery. But we can all find atleast one true and encouraging thing to say to others everyday. It is best to start at home too.

blessings,
peggy

I have had to put news, primarily the 24 hr news stations, on a back burner for a long time now. Each one serves their own agenda with half truths.

I am learning the Only Truth is God's truth. Trying to focus on more positive messages and thoughts!

Blessings,

Hello Ladies
I have not posted here lately because I have been busy in the back ground with my family. I don't know if you remember me posting about the problem with the lease house we are in or that we had found one close by to our property to lease... We have been busy packing and we move two houses down next weekend. I go today to finalize building permits so we can pour the slab for our house and then things will get REAL BUSY around here. My husband and I, while nervous about the stress of everything, still have a calm because we know that God is working everything out just right for us.

Thank you guys for praying for us and please continue too.

Andrew is the one child who has transition problems and this past weekend he was really acting out. But once he is settled in the new lease house and he can see progress being made on the new house I really believe he will calm down.

Thank you Peggy! I have been off line for about 3 days, as something happened to my visual driver???!!^! DH was swamped at work and we had some car troubles, so I decided to wait until other things were under control. I have appreciated reading the posts, and one hit me this morning that is a verse before the well known Proverb 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thy heart...." It is Proverbs 3:3 "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." It continues to say that we win a good name & favor in God's and mans' sight. As with most of Proverbs, it is among the "to do" list. It is a "if and then." I wonder what we write on the tablet of our hearts. Time to meditate on this.

Thoughts for today...
"Agree with God, and be at peace; in this way good will come to you"
~Job 22:21

Isnt it just amazing how these simple verses speak to you when you read them?
Blessings to all!
