Chicken and Dumplings and brussell sprouts . I fix the sprouts by boiling water till soft then drain them. But butter in a skillet and add sprouts
and Tony Caschere's seasoning, seasonsalt, a lttle garlic powder and let them cook and toss several times in butter and seaonings until well coated. Yum. Same recipe for broccolli, caulfiflower, green beans. Yummmy.--Marlee

Jennifer and Joan, how did your meatloaves turn out? Got a late start and just popped mine in the oven now.

Chicken and dumplings do sound good! I wish I knew how to cook brussel sprouts. I've tried a couple of times, but mine turn out so bitter. Don't know what i'm doing wrong.

My husband likes to cook sometimes. So that's why he put butter and seasoning on them and put in the skillet for a few minutes. He wouldn't touch them otherwise.

Another meal you can use ground meat or ground turkey. Fry it in a pan then drain . Put it in a 8 by 8 pan, then slice potatoes and layer to top aadd salt and pepper along the way. Also add a can of sweet (drain peas)peas along the layering. Add a large can of cream of mushroom soup.
No water. Spread it on top. According to how may potatoes you might need a large can and a small. Cause you dont want it to be dry. Put spoon in middle and turn it so some of the soup will go down in side. Oven 385-390 for 1 hour or until potatoes are done. Yummy.-Marlee

Wow, thanks for sharing ideas and recipes, now I've got some new ideas about what to do with ground meat! I'm always looking to improve my meatloaf!
Emily, your sandwich sounded great! I invented chicken stuffed peppers last night, cut them in half, mixed some leftover couscous with dijon mustard, sliced some chicken over the top (broiled earlier), and a slice of tomato. Then in oven until I got back with the kids.
Hey, everybody ate it - that's my goal!
Ideas for tonight?

Hubby is making a Danish meal tonight - "Million Beouf". Translates to "millions of beef". Ground beef browned with veggies, in a brown sauce over potatoes. Delish!

Nicole, that sounds delicious.

Tonight we are having leftovers. I need to clean it out so I can really clean it out.

Nicole, yum! I wanted to cook something Norwegian tonight (my father's family is from Hordaland and Oslo, and Ric's grandmother was half-Norwegian). I was leaning towards fish with roasted veggies, but that may go by the wayside since Ric woke up with a massive panic attack this morning.

Pasta, anyone? It's about all he'll probably be able to handle. Maybe I'll make some Pepper Cookies (even if it isn't Yule!) to satisfy my cravings.

A hook, a book, and a good cup of coffee....

Now THAT is something that my husband would so love, especially if it translates to MILLIONS of BEEF!

We are having:
~Remains of the day (leftover French Dip Sandwiches)
~Salad
~Green-Chili Apple Cobbler (because it's a snowy kind of day :))

Tacos! Organic refried beans and rice. I even bought mixed salad greens to chop up instead of iceberg lettuce. I'm hungry just thinking about it.

Lora, that sounds yummy! I'm doing the meatless meal tonight. Organic whole wheat pasta tossed with organic olive oil, lemon, olives, tomatoes, fresh basil, broccoli, and topped with fresh shaved Parmesan. Last week we were building snowmen. Today I've got sandals on. Just warm today though but I'll take it.
