On Saturday May 19,2012- I went to work in the morning, worked until noon. When I finished work went to hospice to visit my dear friend Pat, she was so very frail and would stop breathing, I knew it wasn't going to be long. I stayed with her for about 1 1/2 hours..kissed her, held her hand and cried like a big baby. Talk to her and hoped that she could hear me. I left hospice, picked up my mom and went to the cemetary to put fresh flowers at my dad's grave. Coming back from Hebron, my phone rang..it was Pat's brother letting me know that Pat has passed on. Farmgirl sisters.....thank you so much for all of your prayers and support for my friend. It has been a very trying time with my dad passing 3 weeks ago and now my dear friend.
God Bless You- friends!!

Lori

Lori, I am sorry to hear that Pat is in so much pain. I will pray that they find some way to relieve her pain.

She is lucky to have a neighbor like you to watch over her well being.

That is such a bad cancer. I hope they can get her pain under control. She will be in my thoughts tonight.

Thank you all for the support and prayers!
She called me Wednesday morning and stated that she was on morphine every 1/2 hour and it wasn't touching the pain and they needed a referral for Hospice. I called the doc at home to get that started- thank the good Lord above, he went to see her at the nursing home on his day off. He admitted her to the hospital and she ended up in surgery to see what was happening, her feeding tube became dislodge and when the nurses were feeding her- the tpn was going into her abdomen causing her such pain. They did surgery and found this, her blood pressure has been very very low, hardly no pain now- just from the incession, she is in ICU and now are concerned about her lungs. She has a long road ahead to finally get to her chemo to extend her life here on this earth. I told her that she needs to work hard to try and regain her strength- she has some things to still teach me!! Thank you again for your continued prayers!

Sisters-thank you so much for all of the prayers for Pat. She is improving each and every day. The doc is thinking of moving her from ICU to a stepdown room until she is strong enough to go back to the nursing home to regain some strength to start chemo. She is doing so well..still a long road ahead of us but baby steps and we will get there. I told her she needs to get stronger, she has some more quilting to teach me and she still needs to teach me to tat. Thank you again for your prayers and well wishes for her.
